Gateway Japan Study Tour

Opening Ceremony

 Opening ceremony of the Gateway Japan Study Tour program was held at the Tottori University on 12th April 2016.

 The program was initiated by Dr. Shoko Yoneyama, the University of Adelaide, Australia who is originally from Tottori and Prof. Takayuki Ando, Vice-director of Center for International Affairs, has been in charge of this program, which is held for the third time this year.

 10 students from the University of Adelaide, Australia and one student from University of Malaya, Malaysia attend this program. They will interact with students of Tottori University and visit different places in Tottori Prefecture for 10 days until 20 April 2016. In this program, participants will visit not only Tottori University but also the prefectural government, Hokuei-cho, Mizuki Shigeru Road, Mitokusan-Sanbutsuji temple and the San’in Kaigan Geopark. In addition, they will interact with local people in Tottori and learn Japanese traditional culture, existence of sustainable society and so on.

 Members of the G-frenz (Global Friends: - a group of students supporting international exchange activities of Tottori University) also attended the opening ceremony, and instructed how to connect internet after the ceremony. After that, they explored campus of Tottori University.
