The Doctoral Degree Awarding Ceremony for Academic Year 2017 of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Tottori University Held

One student who got a Ph.D. degree

 On 15 September 2017, The Doctoral Degree Awarding Ceremony of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Tottori University was held, with participants from Shimane University, Yamaguchi University and Tottori University. Each student received his diploma from Dr. Ryota TESHIMA, the President, and a memorial medal was handed from Dr. Nitaro MAEKAWA, Dean, the Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences.

 President TESHIMA said, “This ceremony is not the end of your research but the beginning of a new challenge. I hope that your success in getting a Ph.D. and the experiences and networks you have gained here will lead you to a better future.”

 After the ceremony, the students, their families and mentors spent a good time talking and photographing with each other. One of the students said, “I am very happy to successfully get a degree. I will return to my home country, but I will come back to Japan someday and I would like to continue my research."

The ten recipients of the degree are as follows. We wish for their future success.
