22 The Field Science Center is composed of the three divisions, Field education, Field research and Forest management, and plays important role in practical training for students and research and extension in various fields of agriculture and forest sciences. We have 2 farms in Koyama, Otsuka and 4 forests in Hiruzen, Misasa, Houki and Koyama. We promote education and research on management technology of cereal and horticultural crops, especially Japanese pears and on the maintenance of forest ecosystems using the abundant natural resources especially broad-leaved forests.Advanced Mechanical and Electronic System Research Center: AMES, Faculty of Engineering 工学部附属先進機械電子システム研究センター（AMES）は、材料・デバイス部門、機械・ロボティクス部門、航空宇宙・数理科学部門の3部門を置き、産業界のものづくり基盤技術の革新へ挑戦する新たな研究協力体制を構築するために令和3年4月に発足しました。地域および産官学の連携を模索、若手研究者を育成しながら新たな研究分野の創出を目指しています。 The Advanced Mechanical and Electronic Systems Research Center (AMES) was established in April 2021, which has three divisions: Materials and Devices, Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, and Aerospace and Mathematical Science Divisions. The main objective of AMES is to challenge the innovation of basic manufacturing technology in the industry, seeking collaboration between the region and industry, government and academia, and fostering young researchers.Field Science Center, Faculty of AgricultureFungus/Mushroom Resource and Research Center, Faculty of Agriculture工学部農学部農学部 農学部附属フィールドサイエンスセンターは、フィールド教育部門、フィールド活用部門、森林管理部門で構成され、実際の農地や森林での実習教育や、教員や学生が行うフィールド研究の場として活用され、フィールド科学の情報発信基地としての機能を担っています。 ２つの農場(湖山、大塚)と４つの特色ある教育研究林(蒜山、伯耆、三朝、湖山)を有し、湖山農場では水稲・畑作物・園芸作物の栽培、大塚農場ではニホンナシの栽培技術に関する教育・研究を行っています。4つの教育研究林では、森林を利用した様々な教育・研究・地域貢献を行っています。 農学部附属菌類きのこ遺伝資源研究センターでは、菌類のなかでも特に｢きのこ｣に注目し、収集した膨大な遺伝資源菌株(TUFC 菌株コレクション)を核として、系統分類や生態に関する基礎研究と栽培やきのこが生産する有用物質の探索に関する応用研究に取り組んでいます。本センターは 5つの研究部門、11名の教員で構成され、研究だけでなく、｢菌類資源科学｣に関する知識や技術を習得した人材を育成するために努力しています。 Fungus/Mushroom Resource and Research Center (FMRC) has been focusing on the “mushrooms” among the fungi to promote various researches from basic (systematics, ecology, etc.) to applied sciences (cultivation, exploration of useful bioactive compounds) based on the huge fungal cultures, which have been collected and maintained in FMRC (TUFC Collection).
