In 2011, we established the Center of Minimally Invasive Surgery, hence we are providing surgeries that are less physical burden to patients safely. We have been operating 2-units of Robotic-assisted surgery “da Vinci®” surgical systems since January 2019, and the number of surgeries has exceeded 1,800 (as of 2021), which is one of the highest among national universities. In February 2022, we newly introduced the first domestically surgical support robot “hinotoriTM”. In addition to robotic surgery, our hospital is promoting the introduction of advanced medical care in each department. In April 2022, the hospital was certified as the "Advanced Emergency and Critical Care Center" by Tottori Prefecture. Furthermore we enhance our medical services so as to enable the community needs, through established the Sports Medical Center and the Kidney Center. The social responsibility of the University Hospital is not limited to provide medical care but also education and research. It provides not only undergraduate and postgraduate education as a high-level education and training organization, it also actively promotes such as medical care workers and social education on medical care and welfare. Besides, as a research organization, we are engaged in clarifying pathologics of various diseases, studying new diagnostic and therapeutic, and products that address issues and needs in the medical field.
