Education and Research Purposes of the Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine conducts education and research concerning the expertise, skills and the latest theories in medicine, life science and health science. It aims to develop creative human resources who have advanced knowledge, techniques, a rich human nature and a high level of morality and can also contribute to the international community. The purposes of each department are as follows:

Department of Life Science

The Department conducts education and research on related diversifying areas in the medical and life science fields and aims to develop biomedical scientists (medical science researchers and technicians) who can apply their knowledge and skills in medicine and related extensive areas to their work.

Department of Health Science

The Department conducts education and research concerning the expertise, skills and theories of nursing and clinical laboratory science, while focusing on the dignity of life. While the Major in Nursing aims to develop professionals who have nursing expertise and skills and are capable of dealing with issues related to human health, the Major in Clinical Laboratory Science aims to develop clinical laboratory technicians who have expertise and techniques in advanced bioscience, biopsy and functional tests.
