University Field Science Center

The Field Science Center is composed of the three divisions of Extension, Agriculture and Forestry, and plays important role in practical training for students, research and extension in various fields of agriculture and forest sciences. We have 2 farms in Koyama, Otsuka and 4 forests in Hiruzen, Misasa, Houki and Koyama. Our extension division promotes educational and practical training programs for citizens on nature, agriculture and forests. We promote education and research on management technology and the improvement of cereal and horticultural crops, especially Japanese pear and on maintenance of forest ecosystems using the abundant natural resources especially broad-leaved forests.
